Praise and Prayer
PRAISE – Apr 2012
- Thank God for His direction and provision – finances and new offices. Our new offices are at JTV Centre in Umtentweni. We move on 25 April.
- Thank God for our satellite programs – 8 in total. God willing 2 more to open during 2012 – Horizon Baptist Church in Gauteng and St Lukes in Port Shepstone.
- Thank God for churches who are showing interest in partnering with Positive Ray.
- Thank God for enabling us to support satellite programs in spite of many challenges. R70,000.00 allocated for 2012.
- Thank God for special gifts that came in. We were able to buy 2 weeks food supply for 50 children who attend our crèche in Sezela; food parcels for 9 families and school uniforms for 20 poor children blessing them with 1 pair of shoes; 2 pairs socks; 2 pants and 2 shirts or 2 dresses and 1 jersey.
- Thank God for our partners especially SIM, for their support and interest of the work. We were privileged to have Marcus Baeder – New International co-ordinator Hope for AIDS.
- Our Peer Education camp was a success. 94 people attended.
PRAYER – Apr 2012
- Pray for our original vision to motivate and equip churches to address HIV and AIDS. That we might stay focused and not be side tracked by funding or some lucrative proposal or offer by circular funders.
- Pray for our satellite programs. God will provide for all of their needs.
- Pray for more churches to embrace our vision.
- Pray for the challenges we face especially in the area of funding.
- Pray especially for our school Program with GOLD. GOLD is facing many challenges as far as funding is concerned and this is impacting negatively on our program. There is a possibility this program might terminate.
- Pray for our Program Managers Get-together coming up on the 11 and 12 May. As all our Managers from Gauteng, Durban and Eastern Cape meet, it will be a wonderful time of fellowship, learning and sharing.
- Pray for funding from church based funders like SIM who are like minded. God will open new doors.
